"Human kind cannot stand very much reality."
-T.S. Eliot

Take a look at these JMT photos by Brian Ernst. For those of you who have been, you know that the JMT has a magic aptly conveyed in these images. For those of you who have not set foot on the JMT, let this be your prompt.

The following applies to each thumbnail on the Brian's site mentioned above:

Click on the thumbnail of your choice; once the regular size picture comes up, scroll down to just below the picture, and click on "Details", which will include the camera and film used, etc.

If you want to view a larger picture than even the regular sized one, click on "Larger" a couple of buttons to the right of "Details".

Let me be clear that these are not my pictures! Brian Ernst is the photographer. He kindly shares them with the World Wide Web.

So, who wants to go and when are we going? I would love to hike the JMT. Unfortunately, friends and family are not similar minded.

Those pictures are fantastic! What month during the summer did they go? We are doing the hike next July. I have a ticker sheet on my frig counting down the days. 355 to go! After seeing those pictures I could not wait to mark another day off of my calendar. Great shots of some very beautiful country!
