rosabella, my day pass for main trail is 12 Aug I will be in area with acclimation trips beginnin the prior Sunday, be glad to meet you Aug. 8-9-10 or 11 if you're up there. Or anyone else for that matter, I'll bring some tools we can use to disassemble the stuff the FS has strapped to the trees.

If the FS wants to count how many on a trail that isn't really a trail, and charge us for its use, I would expect the Mountaineer's Route will become a MAINTAINED trail.

HOYL - Darn!! My day permit is for the 16th. I'll be driving down from Washington on the 13th, and get in to the Portal on the 14th to aclimate. I would have really enjoyed meeting you... I was so impressed with your attempt to get your nephew up in the mountains last summer. Hope he's doing OK.

Anyway, if you're around on the 14th, leave word at the store. I'll check with Doug and Earlene when I get in.
