I just wanted to thank whoever returned the GPS unit that I lost to the Portal Store on Friday. My GPS unit fell out of my pack somewhere between the top of the switchbacks and Mirror Lake. When I got down to the portal, I left my name and number at the portal store in case somebody turned it in. By the time I reached the hotel, somebody had alread turned it in to the store.

Thank you again to whoever the honest person was who returned it.

That was me, Glad I could help you out!
I would have met you personally but I had cheesburger on the mind and my first priority was to eat. Only after finishing did I remember that I picked up your GPS. I told the lady in the store and she said I just missed you.

We were the 3 smelly folks sitting outside recovering from a 6 day trip.

Now if I could only get the TEVAs that I left at the intersection of wright creek and the high sierra trail........

Well Thank you again. I think I saw you getting your burgers. Could I ask where you found it. I thought that I lost it close to the top of the switchbacks, but I didn't try to use it again until I got to Mirror lake.

I hope somebody turns in your Teva's.

Also, for anybody who lost a knife, we turned one in to the Portal Store.
