my husband is getting better, i must say. we had to go through a miserable hike, though, and he realized that he forgot why he's doing this and that if he has a + attitude, it can change things dramatically. the last hike we had together, his mind was completely changed and he beat me up the tallest mtn in AZ by 10 minutes!!! He gets nervous about getting out of his comfort zone and stuff-he's the typical person who will watch the news and put everything in a box and look at the dangers and make things bigger than they are sometimes... I'm hoping it will be a really good hike, though. He knows how important it is to me and I know how imp he is to me if I have to come down. Heck, that would be almost a bigger accomplishment for me!- (to not make it to the top).

Sounds like he's a great guy. From reading the posts you can see that your situation is not uncommon. That he's willing to trudge along with you through this adventure, speaks volumes! I wish you both a successful summit!
