Three of us are hiking on June 23-24. What do you think the snow will look like on the switchbacks at that time? We don't want to bring crampons if we don't have to.

We went last weekend (Jun 12-14) and we didn't need them.

I can't imagine you would need them in 2 weeks barring a major snowstorm and freeze.

Just got back yesterday. No ice axe or crampons necessary. Treking poles were very helpful though. The snow is melting extremely rapidly. We noticed a difference in snow level between our way up and our way back.
