I am looking for a short hike around 10 miles in the Lone Pine area.I have done the hike up Big Pine Creek to the numbered lakes.Any suggestions?

Robert,
You could go up to Kearsarge Pass and back from Onion Valley for a 10 miler. This would also give you a chance to take a look from the pass at some of the area you will be passing through when you do your Rae Lakes loop trip.

I would agree. Kearsage pass is a nice trail. Not very difficult and the views are excellent.
