I have a permit for the 8/9 of June, does anyone know what the snow condition will be like for those days? Should I have ice ax and crampons?

I would check the pictures posted by Bob R on Memorial Day.(see previous thread) It looks like it would be wise to use your equipment to get through some interesting spots on the switchbacks but I'm no expert on that. Have a great hike!

You will not require crampons in August. Above the switchbacks, under the overhang there may be ice on the trail but just hold onto the cable and you will be alright. Enjoy your hike.

The original post was asking about the 8th and 9th of June, written as "8/9 of June".
