Say I have a confirmation letter for 6 overnight permits.

When I stop by the ranger station at Lone Pine on the morning of the first day, do all other 5 folks have to be present to get their tags issued, or will I be able to pick up all 6 myself?

They will give you the whole bunch to distribute amongst your nearest and dearest. They will ask how many of you are actually going, so if someone bails you can cancel right then and there.

Please leave any permits that you don't need that day with the rangers so that us last minute louie's can get them as walk ins.
