This discussion inspired my son and me to go out and do the hike today. Finished around 6 PM. We didn't see anyone with a Portal Store T-shirt or anything like that, but it's nice to know so many regulars here do this hike.

This hike is good training for something...summer. It was over 90 when we started. We really appreciated the shade when we finally hit it.
