Hello friends of the Mount Whitney Forum!
I have been trying to get a permit to hike Mount Whitney for the last 5 years and still haven't had luck on the lottery. I would really like to make it happen this year, so I am reaching out to see if anyone has an extra/unused permit for this year. I would need a little bit of notice, but otherwise will accept any date, weekday or weekend. I am willing to attempt the hike in a day but would also take advantage of an overnight if available.
I plan to rent a house/room in Lone Pine for a few days leading up to the hike so I would have time to meet there to coordinate.
If you don't have a permit but have suggestions for how to get one, please let me know! I would definitely come to Lone Pine to try for day-of permits if that is an option (I don't think it is) or anything else to make this happen.
