Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Permit System Need 2 overnight permits 9/3

Hello, we have a 9/3 overnight permit to celebrate my friend’s 50th birthday for 8 people, but need 2 more. We’re all avid hikers and a fun group, most of us have completed Half Dome on a day hike. If anyone has a couple extra tix available that day or any tips on getting them please let me know. We’re checking the reservation site daily to see if anything comes available, but so far no luck. Thank you!

I have yet to ever see a group larger than 5 actually all show up, especially when the date is months out. I'm positive you'll have enough permits by September. (I'll even wager that you'll be back on the board the week prior saying "Anyone need extra permits or want to join our group?")
