Hi all, I am going to be camping and summiting Langley on Aug.25th and I was wondering how the old pass is doing. Also if anyone has camping spot tips for the lakes that would be helpful.

Thx!

Just went up Old Army Pass last weekend. Excellent conditions! Camped above lake
three amongst the rocks. Several campsites available. Our favorite site was already
taken, but just continue to walk along the lake trail and look up towards the trees
and you will find something. The trail to the summit is easy to follow, just follow the
large carins until they stop and then head up. You'll find the summit register and marker. Have fun!

Thx for the tips, glad to know the old pass is passable! I went up Langley last year for the second time and I love the cairns! Are you talking about the lake trail that goes to old army pass toward #4 or the lake trail that heads towards new army along #3 at the junction?

The main trail to OAP just before the very small hill that takes you up to Lake 4.
We stayed on the main trail, which goes past the old hut, which will be on your left, and kept walking until we found a campsite, again on our left. Hope this helps.

This helps immensely, I know where that hut is so I think I know where you are talking about. Thank you so much for your help!
