Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board New internet fee with Rec.gov!!

Just hooked up two day permits for Whitney and got charged $10.00 for the internet fee plus the normal $15.00 per person. Got some day permits in April and was charged the normal $6.00 plus $15.00. Is this a new charge now or did I just get ripped off.

I guess 6 wasn't enough!!

There's no charge to climb Rattlesnake Hill.

If they find out people do go up Rattlesnake hill the will figure out away to charge for it. Jim if you had posted about Trump earlier I could have saved a few dollars.
