Has anyone been up to Russell lately. If weather holds plan on going up in two weekends and wondering if there is any snow/ice on the North side of the ridge line.

I'm assuming you're planning on climbing the East Ridge? If we don't see any more storms you'll not find any snow up there by the time you go. If we do get any snowfall between now and then chances are it'll stick on parts of the East Ridge. As you seem to be aware most of that route is on the north side of the ridge and it sees increasingly less sun exposure as we move later into the fall season.

Thanks Kurt. That is what I expected to hear so now we will just watch the weather. We plan on doing a Russell Whitney loop - Russell via Whitney/Russell ridge and up the south/west side.
