there was only one other guy on the summit for a few minutes while i was there./ Got the summit to myself for a half hour then got this on the way down, thought you all might like to see it. Was super lucky with the weather, did an overnight aug 11-12, got to TRail Camp by noon and realized the weather would be ok, i had acclimated well enough and had the energy to summit the first day (also seemed much easier to descend from Trail Camp in morning rather than summit and descend). Staying at Whitney Portal the night before my ascent plus going extra slow made acclimating easier for sure. Also at first mistook Doug for Crazy Jack because i had confused the photo of Doug on this forum for Jack- Jack straightened me out on who was who- Wow that guy really earned his name, he had completed his 145th summit the day before and has done it twice in ONE DAY!
