I am planning on taking a loop out of Roads End in mid-August, starting on the Copper Creek trail and then taking the High Route to Lake Basin. From there I will go over Cartridge Pass to Bench Lake. My question is about the next leg of the trip. I would like to go down the South Fork Kings/Muro Blanco. I have seen a few trip reports that indicate a fair amount of brush, talus, and probably regular crossings of the Kings. Most trip reports don't paint a really grim picture of the brush. But recently I read a trip report from someone who made the brush sound absolutely horrible all the way down the canyon.
Has anyone been down this canyon in recent years? Just what can I expect there?
