Gang,
I am looking for a little help. I want to bash a little low angle ice. I will be heading up to the floes above LBL in about a week. Can anyone give the low down on the current conditions?
Is anyone driving above the "sign?"
Snow conditions up the North Fork?
Ice conditions?
I realize that conditions can change in a heartbeat. Just looking for anything remotely current.

Thank you all,

Tad

ice might be under a layer of snow this time of the season.

When in doubt, go up.

As of Monday people started walking from about 1/3 of a mile below the big switchback in the road (the Bogart turn).

Some of the ice will be showing on the upper end of it and the lower end of it will still be covered. You never know what can happen in one week though.

Have fun!

Anyone out there have anything new!?
We are heading up on the 24th at 0-dawn-thirty hours.
Good boot track? Snowshoes? Perfect plastic ice?

Thanks

Big group up there yesterday afternoon. Don't know what the conditions were like, but they weren't doing much more than this and then bailing off.

I'd be very cautious about heading up there this late in the season. It won't be long until refridgerator size chunks start flaking off.
