I mentioned a few days ago that we are puting in for the end of June for Whitney climb.

Is there anywhere on the web that I can find a history of how the weather has been on and around whitney?? Historical weather almanac kind of a thing?

I have heard that the weather and snow levels in June can vary A LOT, depending on the year........

Bytheway, how are the snow levels on Whitney so far this winter ...average, below or above average??

Historic weather records in the U.S. are kept at the National Climatic Data Center. Records can be downloaded online. Some are free others are not. Since there is no weather observation station on Whitney, you would have to find the nearest observation station. The type of observation(s) depends on the type of station. Not all observation stations report the full spectrum of weather data. Some smaller ones are limited to certain kinds of data, while others will report a greater variety of data.

Cottonwood Lakes (nearest remote snow-water sensor, I think) reads 113% of normal for the average snow-water maximum on April 1. There's still a lot of winter left until then, especially since it's an El Nino year when precipitation seems to fall mostly in late winter and early spring, so you can probably expect significant snow until late June or even July.
