There is an avalanche warning currently in affect for the South Fork of Bishop Creek:

The road from Four Jeffreys campground to Bishop Creek Lodge is a notorious avalanche zone that has produced huge slides. We've seen avalanches as deep as the tops of the telephone poles! If you have to drive up there...go quickly through that zone and keep your fingers crossed.
The Forest SVC will be blasting this week, in that zone.
