I have a pair of these. They are really comfortable, but a bit on the heavy side. Also, don't worry about cold feet in these. Almost too warm for the Sierra.

My feet run cold just like the rest of me. I like the inter boot to sleep in. I hope that they will keep my feet warm on Shasta.

As for weight, I better start working out with weights on the ankle.

We will see if they fit my feet.

Sorry they didn't work out, Ava!

I went to see Alia at the WLA A16, after my feet were cold on our Thor group hike. He had me try the Lowa Mountain Experts (which they had in stock), but they felt narrow / pinching, while I was just walking around the store. He then recommended these for my cold feet and for what I wanted to do (mountaineering-wise). I ordered two different sizes from EMS and brought them to him for fitting/orthodics.

I was unsure if they would be too much boot or too heavy or too stiff at first. But after hikes up Baldy and training hikes on Whitney, I'm happy to say they are fine even on dirt, and I'm a lot more sure-footed on snow! No problems that first night we were at LBSL, but when we were standing around during Kurt's avalanche training, and it was snowing, my toes were cold, frown

I had some rubbing on my heels at first, then Alia reminded me to wear my sock liners and that took care of things, blush I love them now! Besides, the color is so pretty, grin

Oh, I was able to get them while EMS had 20% off boots... I also got down booties for camp...
