Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Day ticket for Sat 15th August required

Hi all,
July 12th I led a party of four up the mountain. Unfortunately my girlfriend got very sick just before base camp and so had to bring her down.
It is my birthday Aug 14th so my girlfriend has offered to drive me up to have another go, if I can get a ticket for the Saturday 15th.
If not through here i'll take a chance at the office Friday morning.

If you get to the center before 5pm; your odds are good of getting a permit for tomorrow.

It seems like someone in my party for the 15th is backing out, and I will have final confirmation today. We will release the permit as soon as we know for sure. If you want to PM me your e-mail address, I can e-mail you as soon as I am going to call and cancel it.
