I have plans to visit Whitney this Sat thru Tue. I plan on doing a warm up hike sat, hike to trail camp sun, summit and either camp or hotel it mon night. I see the weather is going to be sketchy and was just wondering if in others experience(this being my first time) should I adjust my plans and camp the first night in a more sheltered area than trail camp. The forecast says slight chance of showers-tstorms that day and night. I want to be safe and still enjoy myself, any advice would be great.

Remember it says slight chance....still be prepared for anything while on the mountain and use common sence. Trail camp should be fine but once again things can get nasty quick. I am going up Sunday, summit on Monday and only bringing a $1 poncho....but I'm also prepared for the worst if things do go bad.
