I'm just wondering if there are any other people heading up the MR this Wed. My mate from London might not make it, and I'd hate to tackle the chute alone! Let me know, TIA.

June 24, Wed. Whoooops.

I will be staying at the Portal on Tuesday night and starting to get acclimated on Wed and Thurs before overnighting it on the Main Trail on Fri/Sat/Sun. I would love to explore the Mountaineer's route, at least up to the East Face of Whitney, but if I had someone to do the chute with, go all the way!. I was thinking about doing it on Thursday. I am supposed to pick up my crampons and ice axe in Bishop on Wednesday. On Wednesday morning I was just gonna explore the Mountaineers Route up to Lower Boy Scout Lake as I get acclimated. (I am coming from sea level).

Hello bill clinton,

If all goes as planned then my mate (hopefully) and I will leave Portal around 2pm and get into UBSL early evening. We're gonna set up camp there and probably head out to summit Thurs morning at 6am. Hopefully we'll run into you somewhere along the trail- you can't miss us, we're two girls and one's English! Hopefully see you tomorrow! Ciao.
