Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Canister fuel source?

Looked through the forum a bit and can't find anything regarding a local source for canister fuel in Lone Pine.

Any suggestions on where I can pick up some MSR IsoPro canisters on my way into town?

Hi We stock fuel at the Hostel and the mountain store, Hostel is open 24 hours , this comes up each year and the debate will go on for months about the color of can the fuel mix etc. the key thing is the type of connection , the only stoves that seems to be out of date is the Roberts and the old Gaz 206 size can that is now twice the height so once you open it can leak and can't recall seeing the CV360 STOVES MUCH USED BUT WE HAVE THE FUEL. also check the price as the MSR maybe the high end to cover the red paint? Yes, yes, yes. I went through this last year. I bought MSR Isopro from Lone Pine Sporting Goods. It is just down the street from the Dow Villa and Doug's fine hostel.
