Friends of the Inyo has another great spring hike planned for this Sunday--here are the details:
Just east of Lone Pine, Centennial Canyon, in the Coso Range, offers great views of the Sierra, Joshua trees and petroglyphs. The hike is a minimum of four miles round trip (possibly six miles if we do the loop), with 1,000 feet of elevation gain. The walking is primarily in a sandy wash. Friendly, well behaved dogs are welcome.
Meet in Bishop at 7am at the FOI office, Lone Pine at 8:15am at the Interagency Visitors Center (Highways 395 and 136).
Bring food, water and clothing for the day.
