Another Friends of the Inyo trip if you're looking to get your boots dirty!

Saturday (March 14)--that's right, Saturday 3/14

The Tablelands (north of Bishop) are a wonderland to explore any time of the year and a great, late winter escape. With fantastic volcanic land forms, hidden labyrinthine canyons, winter wildlife, and archeological sites there's a bit of something for everyone. With any luck, March storms might create amazing ethereal streams and waterfalls.

Please bring clothing for any weather condition, food and water for the day. The hike is a moderate, three-mile round trip but if it's interesting, we'll plan spend most of the day out there. Other than road-closing snow, the trip is all weather. Meet at the Friends of the Inyo office (at the corner of West Line and Home Street) at 8am or the intersection of the Chalk Bluff Road and Five Bridges Road (just west of the gravel pits), by the BLM kiosk, at 8:30am.

Did you also mean to say that the date has been moved from the original March 14 to March 15?

Thanks, Dale! I left out the date, and to further confuse matters, we'd originally scheduled that trip for Sunday, then moved it to Saturday, March 14 when it is, in fact, happening.

Any place along there to pop some caps? If not, I'm going to need a road trip that weekend anyway.
