My husband and a group of friends are day hiking Whitney tomorrow....I am really concerned about the weather. I have heard that they are expecting isolated Thunderstorms.
This not unusual during a monsoon flow. Get started early summit as early as possible, before 10 AM. If the weather looks bad at either Trail Camp or Trail Crest turn around and head back.
