After having been snowed off the mountain last September, my husband and I finally made it to the top Wednesday. The snow started flying steadily about 500 ft. (in elevation) from the summit, but we didn't want to give up this time! We arrived at the summit house at about 12:20 pm, and visibility seemed to be 30 yards. Snapped a few photos (http://karcar.winkflash.com), until a big clap of thunder at 12:40 convinced us to hustle ourselves down to Trail Camp ASAP. Curiously, the snow let up and stopped by 1:05, and we enjoyed a gorgeous snowy trip down to camp. The trail had totally cleared out - we saw absolutely no one the entire way down. Big, black clouds rolled in again around 4:00 pm, and snowed on us for the evening. Definitely an exciting journey!

Big time congrats!!! Sounds like a challenging hike of Whitney. Great job going back a second time and making the summit!
