One of our party has bailed, so I'll be calling the Reservation Permit Office tomorrow AM to notify them.

Also, they gave us 5 days, when we asked for 4. Don't think we'll need the 5th since the weather looks for our planned summit on Wednesday, out/off Thursday. If this is the case, I will call on Thursday to release for Friday--that will be two more available.

Just a heads up for those looking for a permit.

Thanks for the information. Nonetheless, I do not understand your last sentence. If you have an overnight permit to enter and exit via the main trail, you can exit anytime within the 14-day window. Only the entry date counts against the quota. For more information, see note 3 (and note 4) at the bottom of the Wilderness Permit Options.
