Hello Oregonians,

In the second week of June I'll be up near Bend for about a week. So far it looks like I'll probably spend one of the days climbing Mt. Bachelor. I was wondering if anyone out there has informations about trails on the mountain, snow conditions, and likely weather at that time of the year. All of our California mountains with the same altitude as Bachelor, 9000', are dry and snow free by the second week of June. I understand that the Cascades get a lot more Precipitation. I don't mind some good snow conditions but if the conditions are such that it become a full blown winter mountaineering type climb than I'll have to find another option since I don't have the gear(ice ax, crampons, snowshoes) for such conditions. I understand that there is also a small glacier on the north side. Should it be avoided?
