Thank you for the update and I am sure you have spent alot of time helping Sang and his family recover. When these things happen you see how quick it is not a solo event . Thanks Doug

This is Sang Nam who fell on Mountain Whitney more than two month ago. First of all, I'd like to let all knows that I am healthly survived now and think how much I appreciate the efforts and prays all of you poured on me since then. I feel like I could express thanks to tremendous sacrifices.
After two month of various rehabilation training, I stayed at home and doing self-programmed excercise. Sometimes I want to do more but some doctors watching me around adviced me to be more careful. Most of them said that recovering is not only physical conditions but, since I had a brain damage, I had to concentrate on managing mind and sprit.
One thing I was botherd still was dizines whenever I moved too much. But I felt a better differences day by day. And sooner I wish I could sit down with the people who gave to me the second life which I felt more precious and beautiful.
When I rearranged my inventories of climibing gears, I noticed some of you used their own gears to make me not to be frozen in freezing temperature at top of the mountain. It made me of worm tears in my eyes for a long time and even now.
I knew that is not the only luck I had that time and become a healthy survivors now as eveybody around me chanting a glorios graces I had.
I'd like to say the beginnig is already stated and more likely it is up to me how the begining would ends up better. Please let me know your email adresses or telephone numbers.
My email address ia sangknam@gmail.com, my phone number is (925)944-1612 and my address is 408 Castle Rock Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.
Thanks all again.

Hi Sang

I have followed your story since the fall and it is so nice that you posted your progress and gratitude. My hope is that you will continue to heal both physically and mentally. You sound positive and that will take you far. Maybe you will be back on a mountain soon...

The very best to you,
MC smile

Amazing story of crisis, rescue, medical evaluation, life saving first-aid,airlift,treatment,survival,recovery all because of a communty of experienced doctors, mountaineers, and pilots. It has to be more than a coincidence that the right people including a neurosurgeon were there at the right time. The sacrifice of that community certainly saved a life.It is wonderful to see the appreciation of Sang to those that gave so much in order to help a fellow fallen climber. It is a wonderful thing to see so many willing to come to the aid of a climber in need.Great story!!!

Yeah..great story with a great conclusion. It is always great to hear a survivor credit the deeds of those around them that helped out. You had to be pretty tough to survive all of that Sang, both mentally and physically. Hope your condition continues to improve and that you can soon return to the mountains that give us so much peace..

Regards..
Chris
