I have all my campground reservations and permit for the HST in August. Hell or high water, I'm summiting this time. Just gotta get that shuttle reserved...

If you have a few extra days, I would highly recommend that you backtrack from the Whitney summit and go north on the JMT through Forester Pass and Vidette Meadow to the Bubbs Creek trail down into Roads End. From there it is a pretty easy hitch back to Giant Forest, if you started there.

I'm leaving from Giant Forest. I'm calling the usual shuttles later today. Itsa shame Wilderhouse isn't around, my friends used him in 2003.
