Hi everyone, I'm new to the board and have thoroughly enjoyed your postings. Weather and conditions permitting, I am gonna shoot for the mountaineers route on Tuesday. Well Tuesday to Iceberg, Wednesday to the summit. Has anyone been up their lately? How's the portal road, can we even get close? Also, did this storm produce anything that far south? We got a few inches up here in Tahoe, but nothing to worry about, lessin' yer lookin fer powder. I am a TV reporter, and am coming down there with a good backcountry friend/videographer to do a little piece for the news. We are going to ski the mountaineers route. It will also be featured in the Reno Gazette Journal. Any info. you can pass along on current conditions would be much appreciated. By the way the video story will be posted as streming media on our station web-site in February. I'll let ya' know when it's up...if we get up!! KTVN.COM
