Trying to find the guide book for the alabama hills. Tried amazon and other internet resources. Anyone have any recommendations for the guide or know where I could find a copy. I will be in Bishop and Lone Pine next week and would like to get a copy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you Google: alabama hills climbers guide ?

A Rockclimber's Guide to the Alabama Hills (Paperback)
by Michael A Strassman

amazon.com says they have no stock
www.chesslerbooks.com claims to have it.

In Bishop, try Wilson's Eastside Sports on the main drag at the south end of town. www.eastsidesports.com

YMMV

Wilsons Eastside Sports in Bishop will have a few different A-Hills guide books if I am not mistaken. Also there is a fair amount of beta here:

Maybe we'll see ya there. Enjoy.

Here's a thread I started about AH on SP:

Climbing in AH

Also, Wilson's doesn't have Strassman's guidebook anymore. A new one is in the making by Marty Lewis.

There's gunna be a bunch of folks from SP and WPSMB there this wkend.

There will be a few there - plans changed due to the ice not being too well formed and it now looks like J-Tree for a bunch and A-Hills for a few. Elevation (the gear shop in Lone Pine) has a book (or two) as well.
