Well for those not in the area, maybe this will help you plan your trip. It rained in Big Pine (4000') most of the night - and as the low clouds part this morning, and I look up at the Palisades, the snow level looks to be down to approximately 5,500 ft. I'm sure it won't last long, but the system really left a lot more than I thought it would.

Olancha is covered with clouds on the ole man's forehead - cloud
cover is about down to 10k feet - maybe later if it pulls up

I live in Visalia, on the west side just below Sequoia. As I type this, it is raining outside. Not just a light sprinkle, either. There will definitely be something up there by morning. It is unusually early in the fall for something like this.
