As a 52 year novice, I summited yesterday and made it back in 16 hours. I would like to extend my thanks for all of you who provided invaluable bits of information on this page. What I learned from all of you helped me to attain a lifelong goal.

What a fantastic experience it was, one I can only hope to repeat again.

Thanks again.

Congratulations on your first summit! Did you celebrate with a burger at the store?

When you say 16 hours, I assume that meant about 10 hours up and about 6 hours down. Is that correct?

I mis-counted.

It was 15 hours total-8.50 up and 5.75 down--with a very nice lunch break at the top. It was an absolutely fine day
