I just called the Wilderness Permit Reservation Office to cancel my dayhike permit for four people for Monday, August 6, 2007.

Whoever gets it owes me a TR. Have fun up there.

Oh no! does this mean that Danu Sherpa and BruinDave will not be treading to the top afterall? What happened? And see, that could have meant a summit of Kings Peak in the High Uintas Wilderness just as envisioned. Tsk, tsk - I'll be thinking of you fellas Aug 14 - 20 (summit day planned Aug 17) as my group hikes and fishes its way along and through the Henry's Fork Trail.....

You are a seer, 67Brickie! Yes, TeamDanu and TeamBruin will forego the summit attempt. I have a training conflict. It broke my heart when I heard the news about the change in my training schedule. Alas, the mountain will still be there and the beers will still be cold next year. Have fun up there in the Uintas! Bring home a lot of fish.
