I have secured a main trail permit for tues the 31st but i'm hoping to secure a walk up permit for the MR route. Arriving in lone pine around 1:00 pm on the 30th and hoping to sedure a overnight permit for the MR on the 30th. Hoping to be on the trail by 3:00 or 4:00. Summitted Mt Rainer last July and have summitted several 14ers in the Colorado Rockies. I've been researching the MR for some time via this forum. Was looking for someone who might be on the mountian and was familier with the route. I don't want to waste much time on route finding and i would flat out just love the company. Looking forward to the getting myself out of these short Georgia mountians and enjoy Mt. Whitney.
