Yeah, the twin receiver/reflector was about 25' across the trail on another tree. I assumed we were being counted. Though I was counted probably twice as I backed up for a second look and picture.

Though I noticed the LED was not flashing and also thought the batteries were dead. Perhaps the ranger I saw heading up later replaced them and got a count???

Or perhaps it controlled a remote camera on a third tree somewhere?

I was just surprised to them and wondered for what purpose they were being used? smile

The way people's belongings have been "disappearing" up there, I was surprised to see it a second time on another trip up the North Fork recently.
