I had a party of 2 pull out at the last minute for a trip starting next week.

Day 1 - Tue - Whitney Portal 8,360', 3.8 miles to Outpost Camp 10,300'
Day 2 - Wed - Outpost Camp 10,300', 2.5 miles to Trail Camp 12,000'
Day 3 - Thur - Trail camp 12,000' to Summit 14,495 and back, 9.4 miles round trip
Day 4 - Fri - Trail camp 12,000' back out to Whitney Portal 8,360' 6.3 miles

Yes, 4 days, I'm looking for photographers and other people who wouldn't otherwise do the trip unless the pace was this slow. I'm planning on some side trips and a chance for some exploration for photo spots.

Never mind, when I called in to confirm the permint on Friday I returned the 2 slots to the pool so someone else could get them.

Oh well, 3 of us instead of 5, should still be a good trip!
