So tell me Bob, does "a few hours" mean three, or ???

Looks like everyone had a great time.

One tough dude that you are. Very impressive. I attempted that same climb last wed (6-6). I arrived at the top of the chute at 3:00 p.m. and It was too late, I had to turn around. It was very, very windy and cold, not to use that as an excuse but the chute really kicked my but. The top part of that climb looks really steep and from the top of the chute I was in disbelief at how much further I had to go. I am going to try again on the 4th of july and I plan on being at the trailhead at 3:30 a.m. to get to the ledges at first light. I plan on decending the main route. Oh, just curious as to how long it takes from the top of the chute to summit. It looks like at least 2 hours of huffing and puffing. Once again, a job well done to you.........

Always a treat to view your pictures and reports Bob! I especially enjoy the subtle instruction through sharing of the experience. The multiple pictures and route finding is always helpful yet not directive. Very respectful of everyone's abilities.

I think you are correct about Iceberg Lake. When at the lake you can see a large arc shaped area at the south end of Iceberg Lake, in which the rocks are dry but look like they are usually under the water. See this photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/rockwellb/547741446/in/set-72157600355688571/

Nice pictures as usual. When you got to the top of the staircase chute did you climb to the left or right? I can't tell from the pictures.
