We were caught at trail camp in that nasty little storm that blew in on Tuesday. We started up in decent weather and decended in light snow. The winds were the real problem. The gusts were so bad they would knock you over if you were not paying attention. We decided to call it a trip after everyone else up there packed up and headed down. We felt confident that we made the right choice. Just wanted to know how everyone else up there fared, if anyone lasted through the night, and how the weather shaped up the next day(WED 6\6). Were going to try again sometime before this season is over. And to top it all off we headed out of there with our bear can that we rented from the portal store!!! Were sending it back today or tomorrow!!

I was thinking about people in the Sierra on Tuesday. Wind here in Fresno was really strong, heading in the Mt. Whitney direction.

I'll bet winds at the summit were incredible.
