I'm planning a trip to the Cottonwood Lakes region, and am wondering if anyone has info of the conditions of Cottonwood and Army Passes. From Bob R.'s post a couple weeks ago it sounds like New Army Pass is pretty much open, but I'm wondering about the other two.

My thinking is to go (solo) over CP, hit Cirque Peak, then head up to Langley, returning through the basin by way of AP. I have crampons and ice axe, and the ability to use them, as well as the common sense to not get myself into anything I can't get myself out of.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Cirque via Cottonwood is completely dry. There were scattered patches of snow along the Cirque-Langley path as of a week ago. These are surely melting fast. Even last week you could get from Cirque to Langley without touching snow if you so chose. There is a remnant of cornice at the top of NAP, but easily navigable. I couldn't see OAP, so I have nothing to say about it.
