Tom - I know women don't have balls - I was just trying to point out that you and John did a great job getting up to the summit via the crack and slab.

Would any of you that were up on the MR last weekend or in the last little bit be willing to help me with a project that I am working on (especially some of you regulars)? I have been collecting data for the last six months or so, and I only need about 20 more people who have done either the MR or some of the other routes, like the East Face or East Buttress to have enough data for my research. I am looking at perceived risks and benefits associated with climbing Mt. Whitney. It would take about 20-30 minutes of your time. During the process you could vicariously be on the mountain all over again (what a benefit!).

I appreciate your help. Please email me and I will give you the full details. whcward@indiana.edu
Thanks for your help.

And God bless them for that.

Tom and Norma,
Great meeting you two! Tauru and Christi -- the two you met on the E-ledges. Here's my website I mentioned that has videos of our MR trip two weeks or so earlier: http://geocities.com/tauruchaw/2007_03.html
Happy hiking...

Did I mention that aside from guying the tent to the nearby boulders, we loaded it up with a bunch of smaller (~20lb) boulders? It was quite the hilarious sight to see!
