I'd be pleased to get some info about the condition of the national scenic recreation trail between Whitney Portal and Lone Pine campground. Recently, I saw a photo that showed a rock slide, and I'm wondering if it is passable without heroics for the flatlanders I'll have in tow. Many thanks.
