Good Day,

I see that there are some day permits for July 1. I wanted to ask anyone who has done the hike in the last few days if ice axes and crampons are still needed as you get close to Lone Pine Lake.

Please advise, and be safe.

you can easily get tp LPL without them. The snow isn't deep or continous untill well after Outpost camp.
