I'm planning a hike from Giant Forest to Whitney Portal, and then up to Yosemite (HST and JMT). I'd like to resupply at Whitney Portal. Does anyone know if they hold mail drops there?
I searched and found nothing.

Hi Yes we hold drops best way is UPS and address is

Whitney Portal Store
13 miles west of Lone Pine
Lone Pine CA 93545

Place a throw away/pickup date on the box. and we live at the Portal so anytime you need to pick up the box is OK. Thanks Doug

Wow, that's really good to know! The last time I did the JMT I mailed street clothes and stuff to the motel I was planning to stay at, but with the Portal Store as a possible destination I can be a lot more flexible. Also, I can hitchike down to Lone Pine with a huge box under my arm .... hmmmm... tradeoffs... wink
Does anybody know of a UPS shipping point in or near Yosemite Valley? [You can see the wheels turning, here...]

Just a follow up:  Make sure you use UPS, not US Postal Service.  Only UPS delivers to the store. In this thread, Doug also wrote:

"post office is closed weekends and opens 9-5   We will store packages at the store conditions must include a throw-away date and no food items unless packed in hard shell sealed containers....  Post Office, we check the mail at least once a month in the summer."
