Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Snowpack on MR and North Bowl

What's the snowpack like along the MR and the North Bowl (north face of Whitney leading down to Artic Lake)? Has it softened up to a Spring corn type of consistancy? Has anyone detected any unstable snowpack conditions in either of these areas, potential avalanche concerns? I am planning on skiing the MR and the North Bowl and currently waiting for the right conditions and snowpack.
