June 3rd to June 5th a group of 7 of us are haeding out CP to the Whitney Summit. Day 1: CP to Lower Rock Creek Day 2: Lower Rock Creek to Guitar Lake and Day 3: Guitar Lake, over the summit and then down to WP.

Is anybody else going to be on this trail ON OR BEFORE this weekend?

I know that the trail is normally very well marked in the summer...does anybody know how the trail is marked in the snow?

The problem is that when there is snow on the ground, unless the trail is already stamped down, the trail is not marked. Signposts are usually burried and any trail markings are covered over by snow. In other words, bring a map and compass, and know how to use them just in case. It being June up there, you probably will not have any problems though as the trail will probably have been recently used.
