I'm planning to go cross country in July around the cottonwood lakes area. I want to climb 14,022' Mt Langley and go to Sky Blue Lake, then move on to Upper Crabtree Lake follow the stream down lower Crabtree Lake and join the John Muir Trail. Is anyone planning a similar route? Is upper crabtree lake the one that is right by Crabtree pass?

Did this last year. No problems if your comfortable with cross-country travel

"upper crabtree lake the one that is right by Crabtree pass?" Yes, to the NW
http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?z=11&...amp;layer=DRG25 << it's the one with "cross mark" in middle

Threads about this went on and on last year..
search for "Crabtree Pass" or similar on this site
